"Zigeuner" 6-1/2 x 9 inch, 220 pages hardcover book by Dr. Martin Block, published in 1936 by Bibliographisches Institut in Leipzig. The life and the soul of the gypsies depicted on the basis of the authors' own travels and research with 99 illustrations on 64 art plates. The book presents the Gypsies as an ethnic group that is filthy, lives under horrible conditions, a group where children beg for money and adults perform low end jobs, if any. Most of the European Gypsies ended up in concentration camps only a few years after this book was published, many of them did not survive.
